Looking for a book I read 20+ years ago about kids in ancient Greece who 'tagged' a wall. Am really fuzzy on the details, but a lot was set in their school and there was something to do with red wax.
I know I'm being extremely vague, but does anyone know this book?

I KNOW this book. It's DETECTIVES AND TOGAS, written by Henry Winterfeld. I read it when I was a child... must be over 30 years ago. It was published in the late 50s or early 60s, I think. It's back in print. Check your local book shop, or Amazon, if you prefer to buy from them.

why is this book so important? find another interesting children's book. If the book is published 20+ years ago, it's most likely forgotten by today's people by now.

if it is a childrens book - not an adult book about children then the largest local library should have it listed in their "master book" it is a reference book of all childrens books cross referenced into main subject, plot, main character, setting. good luck
