It doesn't matter if you have 1 year or 30 years.

If you don't have the right classes on your licence you can't hire it at all.

No amount of experience driving regular sedans and light trucks can prepare you to drive a big rig like you're describing. You have to take lessons from a pro, and get your feet wet on the actual truck.

Here in Canada all u need is a truck class license & away u go, but not to many jobs for 1st time drivers avalable
