i never heard of that but it does not surprise me.
England, France Spain Portugal - are the states which committed the most crimes in their colonial histories.
Let bygone be bygone.
Now they are facing refugee problems which they should not complain about.

Talking about justice.

Honestly, and in the eyes of most people, it happened too long ago and during a time when most European countries were all about colonialism. And it's been going on since the beginning of history.

But what happened between 1830-1962 has no significance, has no bearing, does not even register as a blip on the radar today. It is of no consquence to most folks.

Look at Rwanda, more than a million dead due to genocide. And no one cared. Right now we have Darfur...still, no one cares. We've got celebrities championing the cause, and still...crickets chirrping. If no one cares about these recent travesties...why would they care about something that happened so long ago.

I'm not going to defend France's actions, the french can do that themselves if they want to. But it was really a genocide, there wouldn't be any Arabs left.

There's been genocides all over, and there's hardly any nation innocent of it, except Finland of course. :) Some more recent than others, and I fail to see the relevance of Imperial France of the past in the issues of today.

And for using such a serious word, genocide, you are a bit off handed- what do you mean "et c"!? That if anything, is insulting to the peoples in the "et c" category. Though if you are correct, they don't exist anymore, because they were wiped out.

France over the years was a huge contributor to genocide in their now former colonies.

Genocide is a sad stain of the history of humanity. The americans did it to the Indians

A few references might help.

I don't recall ever reading about any of this, maybe you need to include a little info at least.
