By the sound of the questioin, you want to know if one keeps them self looking nice during the day for their partner. You don't have to, but if you want to, then by all means go for it. I try and look nice for my husband, but he sees me when I first wake up-no makeup, messy hair and the whole nine yards. Sometimes I just don't feel like dressing up and wearing makeup and having my hair nice. I'm not saying i don't look presentable, I just don't look my best. But with marriage, you love the person for them, not their looks. Or atleast you aren't supposed to.

Hi I shall tell you what all i did and didnt:
Did:
1) I mth before the wedding i started taking great care of my diet as i wanted my skin to look great. Eat lots of veggis and fresh fruits.
2) Exercise
3) Good sleep
4) 2 days before the wedding i went for package deal with a parlour where i did- waxing, facial, pedicure, manicure, body massage, hair cut and bio hair theripy.
5) I had hired someone to put my makeup and do my hair so she had come over and did the whole thing so i could discuss with her in advance what i liked and didnt like so on the wedding day just hours before you dont have to panic or wonder what the hell is happening to you.
6) Most important i took lot of rest
Didn't:
1) Before wedding one tends to overexert so dont do that it shows on your face.
2) Due to excitement or cold feet one sleeps less so please sleep well.
3) Eat normal dont eat too less or too much. Dont do any thing inextreme.
4) Dont try anything new as in a cream or some new product just because someone says it worked wonder on her. You might be alergic to it or its not for your type of skin so please dont try anything new. It might be a nightmare if it does not work on you.
Hope this answered your question

Keep your makeup lighter than you may normally wear- it looks much "softer" and prettier in photos. (If you don't normally wear makeup- consider using some for your wedding, it enhances the photos and you won't look washed out)
Get your toes and nails done- use something lighter on your fingernails. It won't freak you out if you get a little chip because it won't be very noticable, as say red would be.
Hair- keep it simple. Don't do anything alot different than you normally would, you won't feel as comfortable or look like yourself. I did a pretty updo and it was perfect! (and it also stayed out of the way on such a long day!)

Do tell each other how much you appreciate each other,
Don`t go to to bed with an argument uresolved,
Do give each other plenty of cuddles,
Do laugh at you partners bad jokes,
Don`t argue over the kids,
But most of all be kind to each other and every one you meet in life!("even the mother inlaw")

If you mean for the wedding then hair (not too over the top or they won't see the dress), make up (light, you don't want to look like a tropical fish under the viel), dress (simple, you don't want to look like you are swiming in frills), and shoes (low heel or no heel, you don't want to trip coming up the aisle).
