That depends on the person. In the end, it all depends on if you look back on your life and see things that you did that you're proud of or that brought joy to you. Pretty much, if you love you and what you've done, you're golden. How I'd go about this is treat every mistake as a learning experience and regret nothing, because everything you've done and experienced is part of you and has made you who you are. Always strive to be better and improve yourself and don't stress over that which you can't fix.

Do what you enjoy! If you constantly immerse yourself in differernt things that interest you, then you will not be sad or bored. You would be happy, thus pleased about life. however, it is not a constant feeling because everyone goes through different mood periods, and that is normal, so you just have to accept it as part of life. when you can just smile and accept, life is much easier to deal with.

You can be pleased from life from everything around you.
Everything has a beauty that turns into a smile; at tree with changing leaves, a child's face, a brook with running water, and so many more things...we have to always look at the positives in our lives and the beauty that surrounds us every day of our lives.

Here is a 3 point formula
1) Don't look for a purpose or meaning in life
2) Don't try to lead your life, just let it be
3) Just take care of small things and remember you are minuscule in this universe.
I think you will then have little or no reason to be displeased with your life.

The age old saying: the way you look at at a half filled glass. You can say it half empty or you can say it is half full. For many , many it is half full and they are happier. For the other, nothing is satisfactory and nothing is complete.
The other saying is also equally appealing:
"I cried for my second pair of shoes till I met a man with NO legs at all" looking around us we have ample reasons to believe that we are better off. The very fact that we are born without any physical abnormalities itself should be a booster

That is by developing a positive mental frame. Accept things as they come. Do not attribute your own expectations on the events happening. Let the events unfold themselves and accordingly posture your actions. Equanimity is the key for ever lasting happiness.

Pleasure and sorrow are the two faces of the coin. If one need to understand a coin, both the faces need to be understood thoroughly. And what is life if it is smooth sailing all the way?

Hi, Jai,
To answer this, in a practical way,(as practical as you can be with a question like that.).. Set lower expectations and you're expectations will always be met, in other words, just decide to be happy with what you have.... ;)
>>>>>>>>
For most of us, however, our inner dialog doesn’t consist of positive thoughts.. it consists of a stream of negative, critical, angry, self-blaming and defeatist thoughts... When we "engage" in these negative-thinking patterns, we squeeze out the joy and happiness in our lives.... ;)
>>>>>>
Thanks, for the question!;)
My regards! .. and remember : "we only have "one" life"..try to make the best of it!;D
Take care!
