I bought a new laptop (couple of months ago), but it cannot handle high def editing for the camera I am wanting to get.
So, would you go for a:
New PC (home built) or
Save for ages to by a good High Def Sony Camera? (I currently have a SD 3CCD video cam).
With the camera I would hopefully be filming stock footage to sell on ebay.
So which one, 'cam' or 'pc'?

The reason I need to upgrade is...
The demand for high def, or even widescreen video is huge! No one would by SD 4:3 Video anymore, or atleast wouldn't spend much money on it.
By the way I am a teenager and will be saving for a while for the Camera..but when I get it, it means waiting to get the money to buy a PC that can handle the high quality..

I might need to by a ex-demo, or older model one to save my money. I am looking at the sony pro range though, the HDV range. Expensive, but should last ages...

In response to celestial..., I said I bought a laptop 2 months or so ago, I can do all that on it.
The reason I'd need the new PC is so I can edit High Definition Video on the PC, neither of the computers I have now can do that.
