Without posting the exact error no of us can be sure:
However the most common error caused when files are copied and trasferd is that the file size is too big for the memory (virtual) memory to handle.
The best method to reduce this is to download a compressing programme to compress all the files into smaller memory.

The only other error I could think of it that the file are in the wrong format for the system to handle, and that you may need to change their properties.

Firstly: What operating system are you using?
Secondly: What is the _exact_ error message, complete with all text and code (word for word, character for character)?
Thirdly: When exactly does this error occur? Be specific, and make sure that it is a repeatable error and not just a one-off.

Once you have collated all this information, try asking again and someone might actually stand a chance of helping.

If CHKDSK is working each time you reboot the pc, #2 is in all probability the project.

Can you post the EXACT error message you're getting, when it happens and what software you have on your computer?
