This means that there is a hole in the chest wall and his organs are able to press through this hole. That means that the lungs might not have room to develop. I can't believe your Dr. is being so cavalier about this, they should be running more tests and maybe sending you to a specialist. They also should have plans in place for the surgeon or specialist to be present at your baby's birth to handle any complications. If I were you I'd call another Dr and get a second opinion. Good Luck.

Don't worry at all the dr. must have not ellaborated on it simply because of the state u are in and if you worry it will add more stress to the child. So if the dr. says there no immediate danger then you will just have to trust her for they know what to do.

you should really be asking the dr's these kinds of questions...but it sounds to me like your child will be born with a hernia, right?? that's usually nothing...but like i said, talk to the dr's. they have the responsibility to answer ANY question that you have. and you have the right to ask them.
good luck!!
