C is the answer because image formed is the same height as the object. Its suppose to be equal!!

thats easy..
Magnification is equal to the negative of ratio of image to object.
Here it is = -16/8 = -2.
Taking sign conventions in consideration,
i.e. positive for objects in direction of incident line and negative for oposing it)
Here, both Image and Object will have a negative sign.
Therefore, Magnification is -2.
Negative magnification shows a smaller image.
Since, magnitude is 2.
The image will be Half of Object.
Hence,
Answer is (A) 2 millimeters.

If the object on the same location. Then this is just mathematic question....you have 8mm=16mm. Then, 4mm=8mm...example of 8people=16legs. Then, 4people=8legs..........agree. give me 10 points ...thanks.
