Happy birthday, first of all! :)
Let's see... I was 17 in 1999, third grade in high school. It was a big milestone in my life. I became self aware and started to think critically. I read and listened to music a lot, and I really lived on a higher spiritual level... Sorry if it sounds stupid. Honestly, it was rather painful, but quite enlightening.
Good luck for you, best wishes, be happy. :)

Just another year had passed to turn my age from 16 to 17. It was just another trip around the sun to be honest. What really makes it worth the change is what you do with that year. Your 17th year on this earth is worth absolutly nothing until you make memories with that year as you've done with previous years. I will have been 17 for 4 months on the 25th of October. Just have some fun, enjoy yourself and make lots of good memories and tell me what it was like to be 17 next year. Happy Brithday, ma'am. God bless you to the fullest. May your 17th year of life be used to serve God and have appropriate fun. Enjoy yourself as God would expect you to. Make some unforgettable memories with your friends and family. Most inportantly, be yourself and be unique. Pay attention to the way people doubt you and insult you this year so that 10 years from now you can say, "Remember when I was 17 and you said _______?" "Guess what, I did ________. Whose laughing now?"
Or, "Remember how much you insulted me when I was 17?" "I don't know why I'm doing you tghis big favor because when I was 17 you insulted me. I guess it's because names and insults are just words and they mean nothing if you have no intrest in them. I can't hold a grudge just over a word." Ha ha ha, just what I did my past years and continue to do. Unless you make memories worth your time, your year will mean nothing and will be of no worth.

I turned 17 in 1991... Went to a lot of parties and concerts.
Make plans for your future. Don't focus on 18 too much, as it will be there soon enough.
Enjoy it... The work world isn't quite as fun.
:-)

A lot of friends (the most of my life), edgy relationship with father, loved to play and listen to music, not much common sense, dangerous driver, bad temper, fun loving, shy with girls.
40 yrs later now.
Enjoy all of yr friends, and try to keep in touch with them!
