People around the world are saying that, we in the United States have had the wool over our eyes, there are even still some people that think the war in Iraq is connected to the war on terror. The false intelligence was juiced by the president to take us to war in the first place now 2750 of our people are dead, 655,000 Iraqi dead, many, many more wounded and disfigured for a war based on that lie. George Bush should have to stand trial for his crimes against the Iraqi people, his crimes against the American people and his crimes against humanity for taking us to war so that he and his rich buddy's can profit.

What on God's green earth are you talking about?! Ethnic cleansing??? Think Haulocaust, Rwanda, Darfur, massacre at Sbrenica...not US occupation of Iraq...my God. Do you see death squads made up of masked American soldiers roaming the streets of Baghdad shooting every last civilian in cold blood?! No. The Iraqies (the ones with bitter grudges) are doing this to each other...it's called sectarian violence. It is a result of deep seeded hatred and resentment between Shia and Sunnis.

I love all the revisionist history that gets tossed around here. First off, we didn't invade Iraq in order to kill thousands of civilians. We invaded Iraq to topple a brutal dictatorship. Ask any newsperson who was on the ground when shock and awe commenced, they will fully admit that there was a low number of civilian casualties the morning after the main attack. Some will even admit, that the Pentagon seemed almost TOO concerned with the potential of mass casualties. We blew up infrastructure, Ministry buildings, plants, factories, bridges...not people.

It was our inability to quickly calm the masses within Iraq that has led us to this point. If we hadn't bombed the power stations, Iraqies would have had electricity the next morning. If we hadn't bombed the water plant, they would've had running water the entire time. If we hadn't disbanded the Republican Guard and regular ol' Iraqie army, there would've been a security force to keep the peace. Yes, the US blundered in it's attempts to calm the civilians after the main attack. But were we really running around murdering innocent Iraqies by the thousands...No.

Do you folks understand the margin or error? Basically it means magic number could be off by a certain amount....so their own math doesn't really help all that much...they could be off by over 900,000 under or even 900,000 over making the 650,000 completely mute.... Actually surprised that such a reputable group would publish such rubbish then again propaganda is the new norm.

"We estimate that as of July, 2006, there have been
654 965 (392 979–942 636) excess Iraqi deaths as a consequence of the war, which corresponds to 2·5% of the
population in the study area. Of post-invasion deaths, 601 027 (426 369–793 663) were due to violence, the most
common cause being gunfire."

What race do you think the USA is trying to wipe off the face the earth the Israelis?

You are just throwing around words you think will upset the civilized world and demonize the USA.

Do you really think with 8000 nukes that the USA couldn't do a better job of Cleansing an area if that was their goal?
Gee, what could they be up to?
Maybe stopping the spread of Islamofascism through out the world? Nah that isn't the case Muslims are all peaceful.

Ethnic cleansing is the attempted annihilation of a particular ethnic group. The U.S. did engage in that behavior one time in our history and no other. That time was against the American Indians.

There were 2,398343 deaths in the U.S. last year alone.Compared to 650,000 over three years your number is a hollow club.

Of the amount in your figure, how many are Iraqi vs. Iraqi or Arab deaths? I'll bet the number exceeds what the Americans have done. AND and I stress and, the Americans are targeting combatants, or criminals. Not indiscriminately killing members of a particular race or religion.
