Brandon Lee was accidently shot and killed while fliming a scene in the Crow.

I was going to type out a long explination but this is much easier:

Brandon Lee died during a mishap on the set. A scene required a gun to be loaded, ******, and then pointed at the camera. Because of the close-range of the shot, the bullets loaded had real brass caps, but no powder. After the cut, the props master (not the arms master - he had left the set for the day) dry-fired the gun to get the cock off, knocking an empty cartridge into the barrel of the gun. The next scene to be filmed involving that gun was the rape of Shelly. The gun was loaded with blanks (which usually contain double or triple the powder of a normal bullet to make a loud noise). Lee entered the set carrying a bag of groceries containing an explosive blood pack. The script called for Funboy (Michael Massee) to shoot Eric Draven (Lee) as he entered the room, triggering the blood pack. The cartridge that was stuck in the barrel was blasted at Lee through the bag he was carrying, killing him. The footage of his death was destroyed without being developed.

To finish the remaining scenes they digitally composited Brandon into the scenes.

Yeah, they knew the gun was loaded, but they believed it was loaded with a blank (as it was supposed to be), not a real bullet.

Since movies are not filmed from "beginning scene" to "end scene", but rather, "most complex scene" to "least complex scene" (or vice versa), they could easily cut-and-paste duplicate images of Brandon Lee and insert them into other scenes, or use a stunt double when a face shot was not needed.

There's at least a few movies where this has happened... I know Twilight Zone the Movie was one of the most disasterous examples. Another one was Mission in Action 3.

Yes. He died during the making of "The Crow". If I remember correctly the prop gun that was used during a scene had a real bullet inside it. I believe it was deemed an accident.

He was accidentally shot. A stunt double replaced Brandon Lee in some scenes. Lee's face was digitally placed onto the double (special effects). Very sad story. Both him and his father's deaths were tragic. "The Crow" is one of my all time favorites.

He was shooting the movie the Crow, the scene in which he is being pelted with machine gun fire in a conference room and one og the blanks had a wod that struck him so hard that he died instantly from the trauma. No charges were filed. the death was ruled an accident.

the name of the movie was the crow and they didn't realize he'd actually got shot with real bullets until he didn't get up for the next part in the scene somebody switched the bullets

It was sad. I think they had enough footage shot to finish the movie without him and still make it look like he was in the whole movie.

yes !!! they put the gun with the blank shot to close to his head and even though they r blank shots the explosion could do some damage when to close and it was next to his temple

he was just playing around with a gun (not loaded), when suddenly he just shot himself playfully, he didnt know the gun was loaded... alot of people were sure that it must have been a curse that was passed down from his father's generation.

i forgot the title of the movie.. i think its the Crow, am i right.

they took somebody else to replace his position
