I'm thinking of buying a lipstick gloss but because I have dark skin, I don't know what colours would suit me.
Would it be better buying a lipstick gloss like juicy tubes or buying a lipstick then putting a clear gloss over it?
Any suggestions please :)

For darker skin there are some great choices at all different price points. One of the best is the L'Oreal HIP High Intensity Pigments lip glosses and their long lasting lip colors. They have about 8 or 9 deeper shades that range from browns and reds, to purples and wines that would look great on you.
Higher end, you can't beat Bobbi Brown for her shade collection, as well as Prescriptives. They have many lovely shades in the darker ranges as well.

I like red . I will apply the lipstick first before putting a clear gloss over it.

I would go with the lipstick then gloss in either a red or pink.

Lighter colors wld look good on you. Light pink. Light brown, something like your face color, u know. For u'r color, lipstick gloss like juicy tubes would do good because if u wear lipstick and put lip gloss over it, it would look too shiny or flashy or watever u call it. Especially for dark skin. So, I guess u'd better buy something like the juicy tubes. Good luck : )

well for dark skin brown tine colours r most prefarable,,u can buy beige or light brown shade and then apply gloss over it,if u have small lips then u can apply silver or golden gloss in the middle of ur lips to increase the lips size,,,pinks suit fair coloursa more,,,,,,,,and red color ,if applied properly can look gr8 on dark skin but go for dark red color,,,,,,,,,,,,,but still brown looks best on dark skin(check out beyonce knowles)

i think a beautiful bright pink like the one in that Maybelline Moisture Extreme ad (on the Afro-American model)would look great...
i've found that lipgloss in those tubes dont really last long...just look good for a while-till u eat,drink or even lick your lips...
lipstick then clear gloss/vaseline works good...

Mark by AVON has this pouch w/ nine different color mini gloss.
They all match dark skin and they have a hint if color so you can pair them of w/ your make up or outfit pretty well. I think it cost $15.00.

perhaps just get a gloss tube..
light pink.shiny pink.dark pink.bright pink.
all kinda pink!

Try pinks in rose, iced spice, etc.
If you like glitter, try quartz in L'oreal Glam Shine.
You can also experiment with Shades of red and brown

Buy a lipstick and apply clear or lightly colored gloss over it. And please, please, don't use burgundy or a maroon shade. Stick to browns and darker colors.
