It really depends on you and the morals and values that you were brought up with ..
I have very high morals myself so I would not put up with the stealing .. and since they are stealing from FAMILY that makes it even closer to home ... now you have to decide just what your going to do .. remember someday that company might be yours...
Would you hire yourself knowing that you allowed a friend to steal from your father ?
Would you allow the "friend" to remain employed with you knowing that he or she steals ???
Its your call ...

If my BEST friend/colleague is stealing from MY dad's company - I need to rethink the 'best' friend/colleague classification. It's my dad's money (and probably mine too, but definitely my family's) and under the circumstances, choosing between friend and my own money, my decision is obvious. At most, I allow him to justify the action but never 'best' friend again.

For one thing..that person is definitely..not..your best friend..more like, your best enemy !!.....report them to your Dad...If you dont, you can guarantee that person will try and make it look like you..have been stealing and not them...cover your butt, go tell Dad..good luck..

If he/she is really a best friend then just tell him that you know. This should make him think better of himself.
If he/she is your best colleague, tell your dad to fire his/her a**.

set a survelience camera tap the phone have hard evidence leave it on your dad's table call him and tell him that there is somethng he has to sort out urgently that way your best friend wont suspect you have snitched on him/her and he le/her leaves the company with the knowledge he has betrayed you and he/her ends your best friendshipness with you.
