APN.Korea threatens Japan over sanctions
AP - 1 hour, 9 minutes ago
TOKYO - A North Korea official threatened "strong countermeasures" against Japan if it goes ahead with new sanctions against the communist regime, Kyodo News agency reported from Pyongyang on Thursday.

The underground test reportedly took place in Gilju in Hamgyong province at 1036 (0136 GMT). Russia is the only country to have confirmed that it was a nuclear explosion.

US President George W Bush has said North Korea will face "serious repercussions" over its claim to have carried out a nuclear test.

Mr Bush said Washington was working to confirm the claim, but would increase its co-operation with allies on ballistic weapons defence systems.

Earlier, North Korea's second most powerful leader threatened more tests if the US remained "hostile", in the first comments from a senior North Korean official since the claimed nuclear test on Monday.

No. Encourage Internal Dissent. The Population of North Korea is becoming increasingly disillusioned with Kim Jong Mentally ILL. There was a Special Presentation on CNN about what is really happening in North Korea, with Video of the Horrible Conditions, Executions for no Reason, Starvation, Etc.If We in the West could get the Word out to the Majority of the Population, They would soon rise up against "Dear Leader". As to the Military, They have Families that are Starving and Suffering. Many of them are beginning to Question the Regime. This is the way to Take Down North Korea without Firing a Shot !

A military invasion of North Korea would be very inappropriate. It would result in an unimaginable conflagration throughout North Asia.
It is time for the administration to enter into serious negotiations with North Korea. Its refusal to talk to North Korea outside of the six party talks has contributed mightily to this sense of crisis. Therefore, I think that it is time to rethink foreign policy options in more rational, diplomatic terms. Stop backing North Korea into a corner and talk sense in a civilized context.

There are basically 2 ameliorations: a million. Kim Jong Il can no longer examine minds - you have the liberty of concept a minimum of. 2. In North Korea you will attain absolute freedom via dying sooner or later - that may no longer achieveable in Heaven. for this reason, North Korea is greater desirable than Heaven yet will fundie agree? unlikely - far too lots concern in touch. Fundie says it loves its expensive chief yet all of us know that love under duress is in simple terms, and continually, concern. Duress? Suck as much as ME or i'm going to deliver you to Hell. it quite is duress and or the proper Stockholm Syndrome. ~

Listen man,

It's not war til they call me to come grab my rifle, and they haven't done that yet. No one is going to invade North Korea. They have something like 8 Million hardcore soldiers over there, all of whom are terrified of the government and will fight to the death out of fear of being killed for deserting.

I wouldn't loose any sleep about it. The Army does enough of that for you. I'm here, ready to fight and keep the peace all at once. How about enlisting and come join the fun?

To George Bush military action would be appropriate, then again, George would invade Pizza Hut if he thought the operator on the phone was being smart to him
