http://www.iqtest.com/whatisaniqscore.html
When I was 5 years old I took an IQ test in school, along with the rest of my classmates. I had been reading for a couple years and had been using my older siblings' school books. Because I was so young, the test score divided by my chronological age, yielded a high IQ. I am no rocket scientist.
I would be interested in finding out how smart I really am, now.

The tests used to calculate IQ (intelligence quotient) vary but generally cover a broad range of topics from social situations to maths and reasoning. The test score is then compared to what is expected for your age from which you IQ is calculated (your score / standard score * 100) typically 100 is normal.

Although they can be useful they're generally socially biased along western Anglo lines with a focus on content from traditional education (they were developed for use in educational settings).

The calculation above is for one of the most widely used IQ tests. The link below comments on a broad range of IQ tests used and how they are calculated.
