I've just moved there (or here!?!), because I'm attending the first year of engineering at the Politecnico...
I rent an apartment (shared with two friends) composed by two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom and a little kitchen... and it costs 1100 euros par month (gas and electricity are not included)... it's in a good area (near via Buenos Aires...).
If you are looking for a bed, the average price is 300-400 euros par month...

as i know from friends, milan isn't cheap, a friend of mine pays for a small 2-room appartment (living and bedroom) in a bad quarter, 600 euros without gas and electricity. Be aware that gas is very expensive in italy .
