I love silent films from the start of the 20th century - Nosferatu, Metropolis, Faust, and so on. I also love a lot of classic "silver screen" era films. Most modern films are remakes at the moment and as often as not the original is better.
And Ghostbusters - a good choice my friend! I like the part with Mr Staypuffed at the end!

One of my all-time favorites is "12 O'Clock High" (1949).
Generally I like movies from the 1950's and 60's far more than the current crop. I like the actors, the direction and the way they handled special effects.
