I got the depo shot earlier this month for the first time in almost 3 years. Normal my period is only 3 days long and pretty light/average. As usual, it stopped on day 3. Then I had sex, and now it's back and it won't stop... it's really heavy! I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else...? At what point should I really start to worry and go to the doctor?

I am on depo now and seriously regret it. I've been bleeding non stop since 2 weeks after I got the shot and my doctor said all of my side effects are not caused by the shot and I need to go see an urgent care or a primary doctor for my medical problems. These people don't care about us they just want us to suffer. I was told that there's an estrogen pill you can take but I'm breastfeeding and that was the whole point to take this medicine so I will not effect my milk supply. The doctors just lie to you. And i was told you can bleed for up to 6 months! My legs hurt, I'm moody/depressed, non stop bleeding, stomach pains. I feel depressed and upset this will not go away and the mood swings are terrible! Please save yourself and I hope no one ever gets this shot!

depo provera was banned in my country because it caused too many problems. it seems your country has decided it is acceptable.
