Depends on the girl, I would go for thigh length, ankle is too short and knee well everyone has those. Thigh high with a little mini skirt.

depends on what you're wearing them with. ankle length with trousers, knee length with an above the knee skirt or calf length and thigh high boots with something a little shorter!
