I scalded my hand on Saturday & have been using silverdine on it, but it looks like it's getting infected & the redness & blisters are appearing more now then when it happened.

First - get away from the heat source
Second - make sure the airway breathing and circulation are okay
Third - cool the area - run it under cold water, remove any constricting jewellery etc.

Wrap it up in glad wrap and take it to a doctor, either your family doctor or the Emergency Room. They can sort out dressings.

Take pain relief - paracetamol (acetaminophen)

Squeeze coconut milk without water, mix with pounded bark of an acacia tree and apply the mixture on the scald. The bark is scraped and squeezed and is used as a dye for tapa cloth. But is useful in scald treatment. The mixture prepared will absorb moisture and leave a dark coloured scab that come off in a few days leaving behind a fresh clean new skin without any blistered marks.
