I'm afraid the revenue from electricity companies and the like make governments reluctant to encourage people to use FREE energy. They would lose too much money.....
However, here in Spain the new law is that every new house built from next year will HAVE to have some form of solar energy panel or you won't get a license to build!! Pretty good huh?

We live in a society rules by economics. Things are manufactured and then sold to others. If we all started producing stuff for free society as we know it would collapse. Not altogether a bad thing. Money is the only commodity we in the west have now and we must continue to ensure the rest of the world requires money to maintain our standard of living. I don't agree with it but there it is.
Whats the alternative? A sun tax for every unit of power we draw from the sun. A rain tax for every litre of water we collect from the sky, and a food tax for every calorie of food we grow in our garden. Man there would fighting in the street that day.
