Click on "My Q&A" near the upper right hand corner of this page.
This takes you to your own page.
There is a box near the top on the left.
Click on "Edit My Info".
This takes you to the page you want.
You can choose a nickname for yourself.
The next choice is "Picture".
Choose AVATAR.
There are some more things on the Edit My Info page, too.
This will take you to the area that gives you choices for hair styles and colors, eyes, mouth, background, etc.
When you have built your AVATAR, you can Zoom In on it so just the face shows. Be sure to save it.

It's called an avatar. Log on to yahoo and download the idea.
