People pushing, shoving, fighting for section 8 housing in the hood. Why? Why not keep the place,- job you have? Is EVERYONE looking for a handout, rather than a hand up? I'm sick of my tax dollars being wasted on such. Sink or swim.

Ah yes the rules of survival, now that's a new concept. Now days given the cost of living and the job market, most people are just doing what they can to get by.
For most Americans it is all they can do just to keep on top of their everyday needs, let alone trying to deal with ten years down the road. I myself, am retired, but I see people less prepared than I , just trying to make ends meet, and still maintain their dignity. One mishap and a persons whole life can and is screwed for years.
I for one would rather give someone a hand rather than, let them be forced to feel that they have no other choice that to take from others, because of desperation.
