There is a concept which still holds value.... That "A question comes up only when there is an answer" !
That makes a question 'non-stupid' merely for want of an answer.
But incompatibility to a situation is a thing to consider still !

I don't know if a question can be intrinsically stupid...it may be poorly worded, confusing or ill-advised and hence difficult to answer... It seems you're referring to something in particular, but since I'm not in on the joke, I'm quite lost.

Common sense is surprisingly uncommon though.

There are no stupid questions or stupid answers only stupid people.

The question is indeed something of a great and wonderful philisophical substance and the only way a question of such great depth can be answered is by delving deep into the subconcious world of algarythms and complex pie charts to come up with an absolute answer of 7!

Provided the question is formulated in a way which makes sense, it's hard to answer a question which contains or convey its own answer. But it's not always that the question is stupid, it can be also that you just don't understand it properly, although you believe you do.

it's not the question that is stupid. The question is just a kind of statement with a question mark at it's end, meaning that you need someones opinion, or knowledge about it. If you can't answer it means it's not in your field. That doesn't make the question or you stupid in any way. It's just not for you.

Are you giving me an example right now?

or you don't know that there's a lot of question that has no answer, which it's not because it's a stupid question but because it is has no answer.

A stupid question often brings forth a philosophical answer, after all!

If you can't answer the question then the stupid one should be you and not the question.

A question tht can be easily answered by anyone, tht is so obvious to all, is a stupid question.
