Sometimes YES, most of the time NO, I knew of this woman who got her period all the way through her pregnancy. Most woman do not get there period on the other hand because a period is the shedding of the lining in the uterus and when pregnant this doesn't shed, therefor no period. I hope this answers you question.

A woman usually knows that she is pregnant by the fact that she does not have a period.
However in some unusual cases women continue to have a monthly period even during pregnancy. This happened to my cousin - she was admitted to hospital to have her appendix out as an emergency but then they found that she was giving birth. So although it is rare to menstruate whilst pregnant it does happen.

Yes it is possible to continue to have periods any bleeding should be checked out if you have had a positive pregnancy test with my first child I continued to have periods up until six months into my pregnancy and my eldest is now a strapping twelve year old. I also bled during my third pregnancy for the first two months and it is possible that when your period is normally due for you to have a period but if you see a professional you will usually be referred to the early assessment unit at your local hospital to check that your pregnancy is ok.

Not usually, but some women continue to have full, 'normal' periods throughout their entire pregnancies, and this is perfectly fine and doesnt cause them any problems (apart from the undue stress and concern when they discover bleeding during their pregnancy!).

However, any bleeding during pregnancy should be checked out by a doctor to make sure it is normal, and not a sign of some more serious problems.

Generally,no.There have been some instances when this has happened but it is very rare. Do a test ( You can buy the kit from a chemist) or go and see your doctor or the local family planning clinic. They will allay your fears if you are not pregnant and help if you are. Good luck!
