Ok, the thing is I'm not sure which seems bettere to get. On one hand, PSP holds music, movies, etc., and the graphics look great, but on the other hand, I'm not buying a gaming sytem for music or anything; If I want to watch a DVD I'll use the DVD player, or my CD player for music...so besides for that, is the PSP really that good? It seems to me that DS has much better games, as I love those cartoony type ones, and I hate sport games and racing etc., which seems to be more of a PSP type thing. From people who have played both these systems, which did you like best? I'm leaning towards DS because of the games.

PSP has higher graphics and has more media support than any other handheld so I think PSP rocks. Im also considering buying a PSP. I Love it.

DS has the best games by far and it can do anything a PSP can do! Yes, it can play movies, mp3s, surf the net, and most importantly, it can play games. The DS can do all of that if you by special attachments. So if you bought the attachments with a DS, it would be around the same price as the PSP! The only downside is that you have to get the attachment shipped from Japan or Europe as it is not available in the US. So for all you Nintendo-hating Sony-loving people out there. The DS is every bit as good...wait...better than the PSP by far. Get a DS and while you're at it, get a Wii as well!

I own both a DS Lite and a PSP, and overall I find the DS to be more enjoyable. The games are better, cheaper, the DS is more compact, and the unit closes so the screen is protected. Overall the PSP is more powerful however there is a severe lack of playable games and they suffer from long load times. I highly recommend the DS Lite, it is the best handheld system I have owned since the GBA SP. Not to mention that it is backwards compatible with all GameBoy games, so the library is enormous.

If you like the cartoon games, and am buying the platform STRICTLY for the games, then go for the DS as you have mentioned above.
However, if you want a more all in one platform that can surf wireless internt (PSP has wifi now), very hackable machine, use it as a calendar, PDA, game player, then the PSP is much more useful.
If you travel very often and want something to complement your laptop, the PSP would be a better choice.
But if you just want it for games and nothing else, then you will have to go for game selection which from your description, would be the DS.

You should get the PSP cuzz it has great games with awesome sound and graphic plus every game control perfectly. And if you a PSP and u need something all u have to is go to the PSP internet Bowser. Plus is getting a camera that`s really cool. DS has has crappy graphic horrible sound and terrible control not work buying. Starting Nov 17 you will be able to download every PS one game that pretty cool.

I would reccomend u to get DS as u like playing the cartoon type games ,as PSP is for the people who like all the stuff in one console , like the music , videos, internet ,not foret the games.
PSP have much better graphics than DS but as per ur view get only the DS. But both are best portable consoles ever made

I very own the two a sort of structures and that i want the PSP for various motives. i like staring at video clips and that i like to take heed to track and consider photos and skim the internet with my PSP. i become no longer so satisfied with the Ninetndo DS video games, yet i admire the PSP video games. My well-known are: famous individual Wars Battlefront II ATV: Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails Burnout: Legends Get the PSP, you will no longer sense sorry approximately it!

psp is so much better, graphic wise. as for aminal crossing, why not check out, sims; pets on psp.
i must admit some games are delayed when released on psp. they first come out on ps2, xbox, ds, then psp.
but for superb, gaphics and picture quality - go for psp
