how to edit mambo in localhost?

i have a website ( created with mambo ) and now i want to edit my web in localhost. i have mambo 5..4.2 in my computer ( already Installed ). i dont know how to do that? what should i do? the problem is i dont have the database and i dont know how to use the databas, i mean if i have the database how i can use it in my locallhost mambo. where should i put the file or how to do that?

you will need to configure mambo with your database settings. I believe when you first access your mambo website it will give you a form where you can do that.
