Karate or judo would be good. Many aggressive adolescents are so because they perceive their environment -- whether gangs or adults -- as threatening, and they feel they must be tough in response. So if they learn a martial art where discipline and a moral element are incorporated into self-defense, they may get the idea that it is more mature to be in control of themselves. Should work for either boys or girls.

Try alternative forms of expression, as well. Many times students are not able to express, or do not feel safe expressing what they're feeling, so don't expect that to change immediately. First, they need to get to know the people around them, and learn to work together, and learn to trust others. Here are some websites with free suggestions about teambuilding activities... some of them might need to be adapted a little for your group, but the ideas are fun, anyways!
