I believe there should be some tax cutoff point where the land is actually yours and can't be taken away or taxed any further.

~So true. Gov't services should be provided by unpaid volunteers, cops and judges should be paid from the fines they charge, kids should have to pay tuition to go to public schools and we can cut off medicaid, welfare and foodstamps. Or, we could always triple the income tax and impose a local one as well.

Government has the right to determine what land to be rented and sold. It is for the preservation of the state to survive because if all lands are sold, the government can be divested of all of its territory.
