If it's recommended by the doctor, yes. You need professional advice to get the bones and muscles working properly after an injury as a lot of people will modify the way they move so as to cause themselves the least pain when they do so. This causes far more problems in the long term as it can lead to a lot of problems with joints in later life.

It is especially important that young people do not compensate badly after an injury as their bones and muscles are still developing and you do not want them to develop wrongly.

If the doctor deems it neccessary then yes. Especially if he/she is a sports player. They need to rebuild the muscles lost during the injury and make the joint strong, you can't do that without physiotherapy. If you really have your doubts, get a second opinion

Did the doctor recommend it? Not all sport injuries need physiotherapy, but certainly this one does, if the doc said so.... Get a second opinion, if you think it's not necessary.

probably a very good idea if its been recommended by a healthcare professional. I would just go and have my child assessed by a PT, hear what he or she has to say. Personally I wouldn't want to risk them having issues later in life from an injury that could have been treated when they were young.
