My kitten is chasing a bug on the window. It has wings, is all black, but has a really long stinger (in relation to the rest of its body). It's about 1cm in length.
I'd like to know if it's venomous to either humans or animals, as I don't want my kitty to be stung, and I'm allergic to wasp and bee stings.

Think you should be ok. just put it in a jar and let it go outside. Put a stocking over your vacum end then suck it in to the stocking then put the stocking in ht ejar and take it outside. it for the best for both of you and your kitten

Could be a mesquito. The females are much larger than the males. They poke and suck your blood, and you'll itch. They can carry West Niles Virus.

If in doubt, kill it. Rather that nasty insect than you or kitty.
