Almay has a new set of eye shadows meant for each eye color - I think it's called "Bring out..." the Hazel, the Brown, etc.
It seems like for hazel eyes, it's a sort of mauve on the lid, brown in the crease, and a light tan above that.

I have hazel eyes also, and I've found a combination that works well for me with my auburn hair and fair skin. I use a pearly taupe shadow on my brow bone, a reddish brown shadow on the eyelid (red makes the green in hazel eyes "pop") and a charcoal shadow in my creases. If I am using eyeliner, I use deep reddish brown. Red by itself is harsh, but used in this way it works. If you have light hair, it may be too much, so try mauve shadow (mid-to-dark pink) or even a light plum. I don't recommend lavender because I think it is too "light" for autumn and can make people look washed out.

Probably a light brown would look good. Never use same color or a lot since you want people to notice the eyes, not the make-up. Get one of the cheaper assortment kits and play...when you find the color you like on you best, go out and spend the money...but experiment first to save.

I have hazel eyes. I wear pinks, neutral colors, and all shades of greens, and sometimes a denim blue. Almay makes eye shadow compacts for hazel eyes. I also, use it as well. But the colors you use also depend on your hair and skin color.

Try Almay's line of eye color enhancing shadows. Pink tones work well with hazel eyes.

My hazel eyes have a fair amount of gold and green in them. What I find works well for me are very earthy tones. I use pinks and browns at lot. On occasion, I'll use greens or plums.
