You can use yahoo pop3 without even purchasing higher version. All you have to do is download and install ypops. ypops.exe is available with www.download.com
Now, once you have installed it, use pop3 server as 127.0.0.1 (use this as incoming and outgoing servers)

You will need to activate it through your Mail options interface. Warning. Activating yahoo pop3 will open you to yahoo advertiser spam. Depedning on your mail account settings the pop and smtp addresses maybe something like this:
Server Settings
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.in
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.co.in
using SMTP port 587 [What's this?]
Account Name/Username: xxxxxx
Email address: xxxx.xxxxx@yahoo.co.in
Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password
