Congratulations on your anniversary. I have no plans to celebrate the founding of Boy Scouts next year, but on March 12th 2007, I will be celebrating 95th anniversary of the founding of Girl Scouts, by Juliette Gordon Low, in 1912, in Savannah Georgia from an idea she got from your founder, Lord Baden-Powell, a good friend of Juliette Gordon Low. There will be many regional celebrations next year. I will be celebrating with 130,000 of my fellow Girl Scouts in Washington DC June 10th. Can't wait.

Thanks for the reminder. I will make it a point to look for old Boy Scout handbooks for my bookstore, and probably do a feature on Boy Scouts in 2007, and one on Girl Scouts in 2008. You know Lady Baden-Powell founded the Girl Scouts just one year after the Boy Scouts was founded by her husband.
I totally believe in scouting. It is particularly important for kids from somewhat dysfunctional families who may not get moral values any other way. It is also good, clean fun and very healthy exercise, and I am all for both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

my kids (son will be 20 and Daughter will be 16 1/2) will be attending the British Columbia Provincial Jamboree at Camp Byng!!! as offers of service!!!
