Usually smart/casual works. Jeans or trousers with nice shoes, a short jacket and shoulder bag and a nice top (but not too tarty). Beaded necklace and bangle should finish it up nicely. No need for over the top make-up or perfume, just keep it daytime - you want him to like you for you.

If your top is very sexy, your skirt shouldn't be short and vice versa. Get a jacket if it's cold. Denim pants (jeans) or denim skirt is fine.
If it's for some dinner gala, may be you'd like to consider something more elegant. More importantly, where would you be meeting him? Have fun and be safe!
