Get the bathroom really hot. Or heat up the mirror.
I don't bother at home, but when I'm in a hotel bathroom, I always heat up/dry out the mirror with the hairdryer.
You can buy heated mirrors too.

Either heating it or get some toilet roll/tissue and wipe it on the bottom of the soap (the sludgy bit on the bottom) then wipe it over the mirror it smeers at first then gentle strokes it is clear and no steaming up. This used to work a treat when i was a teenager and always looking in the mirror. These days i wait for it to steam up. ;)
If I am in the bath though and having a shave i just run the hot tap over the mirror, but that is shaving mirror and not one of the wall that might be a bit more tricky.

To stop your bathroom mirror steaming up rub liquid detergent over them.
Also summit it thought interesting and really helpful:
Don't throw away your old body exfoliation gloves. Keep them for cleaning the shower screen and tiles in the bathroom. They make fast and easy work of removing mould without scratching the surfaces. Easier than holding a cloth. Great for arthritis sufferers!

If it's steaming up because of hot water in there, open the door or something to get some cool air in for a minute or 2.

There are some solutions you can use. Try at a shop where they have things for cars. The things used for cars glass are stronger and last longer. One can use those for glasses also. Or you can try at the local pharmacy and see if they have any form of glycerin.If you explain what you need it for, they will know what to give you. Whatever you are using, just apply on the surface of the mirror and then clean with something soft, dry and clean.

This always worked for me:
Get your hands wet and wipe them on a bar of soap. Get plenty of soap on your hands, but don't lather up (meaning don't try to get a bunch of suds). Then smear the mirror with your soapy hands. Once the soap is on the mirror, rinse and dry your hands and let the soap on the mirror dry. Then take a paper towel or clean, dry cloth and wipe the dried soap off the mirror. Works like a charm and lasts a week.

Leave the window open when you shower. This should let the steam dissipate.
Or you can get heated mirrors - they don't steam up.

Put a tiny spot of washing up liquid on a soft cloth. Wipe it all over the mirror and then leave it. It works on my kithcen windows for a couple of days.

By having the windows open a bit or have a steam extractor fitted to the bathroom window.
