They are too 'fringy' to be taken seriously by most people.

I've often said that a Libertarian's first act after being elected is to abolish the office to which he/she was elected.

nothing, the only reason I am not registered as one is because I don't get all of the literature. However, I do get the Libertarian on-line. I would like to get a Libertarian elected into a major office and then see if they can keep some of the promises they have made.

None at all--I am a card carrying member. I do disagree with them on some platform issues--abortion and I believe that national defense and protection of freedom in the world is a legitimate function of the federal government.
