In OTH Season 4, what is the reason why Deb was acting bitchy?

What pills is she taking? And do you think Peyton's half brother is for real? Or it's just some perv who watches Peyton's podcasts and decided to get to know her?

Even I was wondering what pills Debb was taking in the second episode..i think that guy is really Derek, Peyton's half-brother...But, there is a chance he's someone else trying to play with her..

i don't know what kind of pills they are. at the end it made him look like he was a perv with all those pictures of peyton on his wall but i guess we'll have to watch next week to find out more about him.
