Should marijuana be used medically to treat patients with certain diseases? Possibly. There are other medications which give some of the same results which should be tried first when possible.

Should marijuana laws be repealed so everyone can use? Absolutely not. If you think the problems with drunk drivers is bad, wait til you have to worry about stoned drivers on a regular basis. If it is legalized, Congressmen and Presidents could use it whenever they wanted to. Would you trust foreign policy to a stoner?

Their are more marijuana smokers in your community than you could ever imagine! My husband knew alot of Sheriffs and even a county judge that smoked the stuff. Its way more predominant than most people think. Even if it was reformed it will never stop people from using it. I also have a mother who has a brain tumor and smokes it for her headaches, she is using it illegal because New Jersey has no such law! Its awful for this poor woman to have to sneak around with it because she is in so much pain that the pain pills they give don't work! It should be lea gal because it has so many good uses anyway. Its like tobacco and alcohol, they will never stop using it.

california has legalised medical use of marijana ,but the federal goverment is not recognising that, pot is associated with the counter culture movements of the 1960s, the laws obviously do nothing to stop the use so it should be legal,it is far less dangerous than legal alcohol and there are no recorded deaths from marijana use

Yes, I think it will go though in a few years. If they can prove that mary jane can be benifical to health, like it is in cancer pts and now in alshimers pts, the it has to go through.
