My parents used to say that it was a way of taxing "property" without really saying that your animal is your property. But technically, it is. They call it a license fee, just like a car tag license fee. Only for your pet, not your car.

It ensures that if your dog gets out and bites someone, they know who to hold responsible. Also ensures you are keeping all vaccinations to date to protect the general public. I'm guessing they funds are used in the same way that car license fees are used. Car fees go to upkeep of roadways that everyone uses. I would assume tag fees do the same thing. This is also a way of keeping people from owning crazy animals they take no responsibility for and from animal hoarding, gives the police a form of recourse against these persons.

You know what- I agree. And when my step mother had a baby it cost 14K but it's free for illegal immigrants. There are the most unbelievable taxes and red tape that have built up in my life. My partners mother had to pay the city 500 bucks for a permit to repave her driveway. A couple of friends of mine had to completely remodel their home because it wasn't up to code; one of the problems: the stairway was not wide enough for "certain wheelchairs". Neither one of them has a wheelchair! It's not a public space, it's their home! We need to make serious changes in the US

i become on the vet on the instant whilst a guy walked in together with his pregnant, in-exertions canine. He pronounced she had had an "twist of destiny" as a domestic dog and become run over. Her pelvic bones have been broken and he pronounced the vet instructed him she ought to on no account supply any puppies. He defined how he had "tried to maintain her from getting pregnant" yet "some canine have been given to her besides". I asked why he did no longer in simple terms have her spayed whilst she recovered from the twist of destiny. "I had concept approximately it" become his respond. The unfavourable canine had a C-section and after thinking approximately it (lower back), he agreed to enable them to spay her. I wish each puppy proprietor could be required to artwork each week at a guard so as that they might see what occurs. as quickly as I accompanied Casey there have been 200 canines and puppies at that one guard. i could wager no better than 10 of them chanced on a house. With all of the courses available for spay/neuter, there is not any excuse for those style of undesirable animals. that is extremely unhappy, yet regrettably, no longer so surprising to those people who ought to manage the aftermath. 3 of our nearby shelters went into foreclosure in simple terms those days. we've one basset hound rescue, a small 10 kennel pound (think of how long those canines get to stay), and one small guard interior the lower back of a vet's workplace. interior the previous 9 months I genuinely have chanced on residences for 6 canines who have been the two approximately to be killed or on their thank you to the pound. I additionally rescued approximately 20 of a hundred kittens i chanced on dumped in a distant woodland. With information from the media, all have been caught. some have been very sick and have been positioned down yet many have been accompanied. I pulled one cat from the pound. We do what we can do. greater skill to definitely anybody.
