Melbourne is in the midst of one of the worst droughts in history and for our muck up day (the last day of school for year 12 students where you dress up and play pranks) my friends plan to fill the toilets from wall to wall with cups ofwater. I told them it's a stupid idea and that it's a waste of water that australia does not have but they all treated me like i'm such a downer, our dams are less than 50% full. so am i unreasonable? or the only one with a social conscience?

no i don't think you are unreasonable at all, as a matter of fact i think that you out class your friends. find some that have some common sense like you do. and by the way GOOD FOR YOU

I wish they would consider putting shaving cream on the guys toilets instead or cover the bowl w saran wrap= a clear plastic wrap for food- or vaseline in the door nobs=and save all that precious water- the other stuff would be more fun anyway!! congrats on graduation!!! D

hi there aussie needs all the water that it needs at the moment .........but to put you back in with the group of kids that think youre a spoil sport heres an idea .........ready for this .....i have heard that there is not a shortage of water balllns filled with custard !!!!buy 6 tinsof that chaep stuff put it into baloons and tie a knot in them and throw them ........easy peasy !!or you know that clear food wrap stuff put that over the toilet seats and oh dear what a mess !! but its really funny !! .......i really shouldnt be telling you these but it seems that you need some help take care and have a laugh !!

no you're not. in fact, you are really mature about it and have a social conscience. refuse to join them, and/or come up with a better plan. how about having a big spray paint fest, where you have to wear a mask and spray paint something about someone(no insults) on a big paper? or even spray paint your classroom? or maybe put sound making things in every one's locker? either way, don't worry about it. you're right, and that is all that matters.

You're the only one with a social conscience, they should be ashamed of themselves. What you need to do is come up with a better idea, that way you don't look like you're a spoilsport.

good for you...listen let them have their fun wasting water now because one day very soon they will be homeowners having to pay extremely high water bills and then they may realise that their actions in high school werent so smart after all..these are the kinds of people who ruin it for everyone

i agree with you, seems like a silly idea, and it is a waste of water. suggest a better idea. i remember, on our muck up day, we filled the toilets with balloons. that was fun.
