It looks like they just moved the site to new servers and it isn't quite up and running fully yet. Give em a few days and try again.

CSS - Cascading style sheets. This is a method in which web site designers lay out the text and graphics on a web page so that they can change the look and feel of the whole site using a few "script style" commands. For example they can create a CSS file that changes the font from "times new roman" to "trebuchet". If they do not like this, they can change it to something else without having to change all of the fonts within the HTML (the language that web pages are written in), just in the CSS "Script".
For a more accurate reference on each of the above, try the following links:

I took a look at that site in IE7. you are right, very slow and no formatting. I took a look in Firefox and the same. There is a disclaimer half way down the site indicating that it is in the process of being transferred, I wonder if the CSS fuiles(s) are missing !?!?!
Hope this helps

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheet. It defines colors, dimensions, and other settings on a web page. You should download Firefox from http://www.getfirefox.com which is a fantastic browser.
Colonies.com has some css warning code in it that appears to be broken. I can't even get the page to load all the way. I think the problem exists with this website only.
