"Traditions, cultures and superstitions can change with time, so there's no need to stick to them rigidly or illogically."

Agree? Disagree? And why? Thanks for attempting to answer! :)

Yep - you should always repect another person point of view, even if you don't agree with them. :) And yes, some change while other don't and most change only gradually, not suddenly. Thanks thanks! :p

Traditions, cultures and superstitions, over time, evolve into what they are today. Weather or not you stick with either of these just continues the evolution and change.

Tradition, by definition, is "to hand down" or "to pass on". So, this is just a matter of information and practices being passed on from one generation to the next. Again, traditions evolve over time. (here's more about tradition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tradition)

Culture is part of who we are and what we do. Each culture is based upon tradition and superstitions. Within each culture, there can be several subcultures... for example, i'm chinese-american .. although i'm ethnically chinese, i'm culturally american .. but not only am i an american, i'm from california. so depending on who i am or where i'm from, i'm influenced by what's around me.

With superstitions, there are reasons why they exist. for example, if you break a mirror, it'll give you a couple of years of bad luck, right? well, that came about because mirrors were probably pretty expensive to make .. so hey! dont go around breaking mirrors!

weather or not we stick to one thing or another, we are who we are. like it or not, we ARE human.. so we're theoretically taking part in some sort of tradition, culture, and believe in some sort of superstition...

*whew*

Agree, somewhat. Traditions, cultures, superstitions, beliefs and codes of conduct were/are invented by us. Each generation contributes/modifies. Concepts that have value/pertinence over time, remain as the core of these. We "stick to" what we do because it is intelligent/beneficial to do so, when within our society, we have the freedom of choice.
I liked you question. Thank You.

I agree with the sentence completely. In fact, that traditions, cultures and superstitions are not strictly adhered to is the very reason they change with time.

As change is the only constant, it is impossible for things then to stay exactly the same. We need to embrace change, and tailor make" the required changes to our respective traditions, cultures and superstitions, so as to keep moving forward.

Agree, people attitudes and belief change with further knowledge. But you should always repect another person point of view, even if you don't agree with them.

Agree, because it is proven with facts and figures. Sometime, we have to practise it just out of respect for people like our parents, grand parents ;etc. But, should you follow all these (traditions, cultures and superstitious), you must be wise to differential whether it is of life endanger or threatening.

Agree! Add to that religon too.... as our understanding grows, we need to evolve our beliefs to fit empirical observations of the world around us. Example of this is earth being the center of the universe to now being part of the solar system which inturn is part of a galaxy which in turn in part of billions of galaxies...
