Do beautiful people get more breaks in life?
But when they screw up, are people tougher and less forgiving of them because they have distorted expectations because of their looks?
I think both are true.

[S]o define beautiful for us first. Is it what society or culture defines as beautiful? Is it what our parents or teachers taught us? Is it what our peers say? Is it what we see in the mirror no matter who we are. Is it the heart of a person or just the physical skin and bone structure on the outside?
[Y]es to all the answers I have read. Society of a culture tends to let better looking people get a few more breaks than others (not all the time) and sometimes holds them to expectations. It really is about the situation and the people involved and you can't categorize culture as a whole.

No i don't think so sometimes being beautiful will result in many more options in life that would otherwise not be offered but i don't think being beautiful would have too many downsides apart from the jealousy of others but if you are a good person then once they know you this shouldn't be a problem. Just remember beauty isn't everything and everyone is beautiful in their own way.

I think you've misidentified the other edge. Getting a break means being allowed the slack to recover from a screwup. The other edge is that "beautiful" people tend to think that their beauty means something and that somehow they are better than other people. Rich people have the same problem.

Cull the weak and the weak minded!
stupid people who are lucky -- those who got alot of breaks in life for any reason (looks, $, power connections, being babied by parents too much, etc) are not used to having to deal with their own screw ups.
Their incompetence in dealing with life's problems does not mean they are being judged more harshly, it just means reality doesn't stop to kiss their arses.
just because *in the past* they have had their way, they are now incompetent to handle real life. what's going to happen when they age? ha, ha! reality will catch up to the 'lookers' / morons

my sister is a showstopper,she literally turns heads wherever she goes, yes she gets lots of offers and opportunities but also knows that men only ask her out cos of how she looks
and inthe workforce her looks only ger her so far, she still has to produce the same as the rest of us
luckily she has a lovely personality and other women seem very drawn to her so she doesnt have to deal with jealousy

yes its true beautiful girls have more advantage than those ugly girls especially if ur a man and a true gentleman they always treat those nice beautiful girls with a lot of respect and VIP treatment {very important person} or special privileges that they can easily fools guys. that the guys will do anything for a beautiful girl just to win her hearts than those ugly girls that we just treat them bad okay thanks

girl get a life,maybe you should ask more intelligent question,the question should be what to do with my life or where i was when god said brain and you thought that was a train,if the pic there is you i just see average looking girl nothing to brag about,but you see i have all.beauty in and out,and the same time i have brains too.
