Bangkok Thailand has the statue of the Golden Buddha which is supposed to weigh 10 tons. I am no good at judging weights so it looks big enough. The are many statues in Buddhist temples that are covered with gold leaf which makes it difficult to know if it is solid gold or only covered with gold.

I know that Muslim holy places have a lot of gold engraved into the shrines and stuff. I reckon Egypt would have a lot of gold too from the past.

Probably the palace of the Sultan of Brunei. This man is a serious fan of gaudy.
Another place would be Fort Knox, but that's being too obvious...

I would say the Kremlin in Moscow. Some of those doors inside were overlayed with gold.

I would have to say the Vatican.
In the Vatican vaults, there are so many artifacts that most people have not seen.
A lot of gold artifacts, scrolls, gospels, etc.
Hope this answer helped.
