I saw the cutest video at youtube, this guy was overweight and was dancing. People just thought he had NO right to make a video. Are they right? Should fat people not be allowed to dance? What is your basis for your decision? I thought it was great he was having fun, but what do I know. I gave the only positive comment out of about 80 comments.

Are Thin People Allowed to have Fun?

2006-10-11 19:48:07 · answer #1 · answered by ash 7 5 · 0 0

I am a very large man, and if I could dance I would. HOWEVER, I have fun all the time. Fun is not limited to happy, well adjusted, buffed out people.

The concept of fun is defined by the individual, so there is no way to quantify or qualify what the term means on an individual basis. WHAT IS important, though, is that the person be happy. And if that dude was having fun, most likely he was happy.

More power to him!!!

Fat people have the same rights as thin ones. Just for some reason thin people think they should also have the right to judge. No one has that right but God.

Of course they are. That is why they are fat. They have fun eating and drinking and jiggling their rolls of fat. Then when you poke them they giggle. Or even better, when you get really drunk and you just want to hook-up you know there is always a fat person as a last resort. How else did they invent Fat-Girl-Friday?

hell no! just playin, im pretty fat & my favorite dance is in ballet, that & i do an AMAZING (kinda humorous) air guitar.......................... when noones around....um was this a question only for thin people-sorry if it was(but just in case youre wondering- it really depends on a persons ability to cope..ie:some people dont mind seeing an obese woman at a nude beach-others want to shame another lady cause shes tryin to look sexy w/ a showy cleavage-hell, hes more courageous than those who cant smile....my opinion, bye-bye:)

People are just plain rude. I agree with you... if that person happens to see the comments, your comment may stand out and make him feel better after all the trash people feel that they have to talk.

i would fight for the rights of anyone to dance etc...this is a basic freedom that we all should share...no one has the right to tell someone what they can or cannot do in a free world...bring it..
