Its there freedom but I tend to not watch movies or listen to music from people who have insulted my views. Since they are in show buisness it is a chance they are taking if they do it. Look at the Dixie Chics. I haven't even listend to one of their songs since the said what they did. But some people still do listen, that don't bother me. Its just one of those things that is up to them but they have to relize that no mater what view they take they need to be polite about it or else they will lose fans forever and with fewer fans then they will become 2nd rate a hole lot quiker than if they play it safe.

I feel that if they live and know the issues (like Bono), then more power to them and the fans that will listen. It is nice to see celebrities perform random (and some publicity driven) acts of kindness, especially, when they can do it financially. We should be seeing more with all the money that floods through Hollywood.

Hats off to an entertainer that cares about something other than pop culture. They have a first amendment right as well so I encourage them to use it and discourage their fans from being apathetic

It's annoying. Just because they're in the public eye doesn't mean they're any more educated in the subject. But at the same time, it is freedom of speech, and most of your Average Joes would use the same opportunity if it came along.

I believe they should stick to their profession, let people like Tim Russet and Chris Matthews do their job about politics.

I consider them in the same vein as a fool discussing brain surgery.
