The name-calling is a substitute for lack of logical answers. It is much like cussing is used to hide a bad vocabulary. Usually the one calling names and screaming loudest has the weakest position...Howard Dean comes to mind.

Usually because these immature people don't have the intelligence or vocabulary to get their opinions across. I guess they feel the only way they're capable of showing their dislike for another party is to name call. It's pretty lame if you ask me.

even politicians themselves do the mudslinging and name calling....people like us only mirroring them when we speak of politics. Politics and Religions have no common ground (hardly), either you're with them or against them.
