these quetions are just to demotivate you nothing serious for exp. people . max times just to check how faithful aqnd true you are . ans can be you are involved in some business , some state level sports activity , or your lean towards your best hobby.or last but not least if really something wrong happend at that year with you tell that only as when you say truth you are more clear and specific.

My professor once said"be honest without any fear of hell or heaven"
so dude!go a head and tell the real cause why u were unable to obtain good marks.Other wise u will lost the favour of the person taking ur interview.just be bold!be a man.

you mean if you got low grades? you shouldn't really tell them in the first place. just talk about your past jobs experience and why you want to work there. tell them a little about yourself. stuff like your a hardworking person, you get along with people, fast learner ect. depends what kind of job your applying for. also have a neat resume ready to hand in. good luck!

The truth , that you were distracted/ or spent less time studying / were less motivated etc... while growing up and realized the importance of a solid education later on.

Please tell them the truth as you have not prepared well to get enough marks if they insist for reasons then have a convincing reason ready for that. However you should never never lie.
